Arnold 5K Slated in Columbus in March

Cambridge Youth Basketball Tournament
Cambridge Youth Basketball will again offer its annual boys tourney Feb. 10-12. This is open to school teams only, grades 3-6., with a max of 60 teams. The 2016 tourney had teams from 19 different counties in Ohio and West Virginia. Hotel blocks are available. Pupil Activity Validation at Barnesville
The Barnesville Athletic Department, in conjunction with Tim Berger, will conduct a state certified pupil activity seminar (sports medicine certification) at the Barnesville High School multi-purpose room (room 127) on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $25. All coaches will be certified with the Ohio State Department of Education for a three-year period. The workshop is not affiliated with any league or conference series. Ohio Youth Basketball Championships
The 14th annual Ohio Youth Basketball School Team State Championships for boys and girls in grades 3-6 will take place Feb. 25-26 in Columbus. There are separate divisions based on school size. Shenandoah Youth Hoop Tournaments
The Shenandoah Youth Boys/ Girls Basketball Tournament will take place April 1-2 at Shenandoah High School and Elementary School in Sarahsville. The event is for grades 3-6 (school teams only). Muskingum Free Youth Football Clinic
The Muskingum University football program invites you to participate in a Free Football Youth Clinic on Saturday, April 1. The clinic is open to boys currently in 3rd grade through 7th grade and is free to all participants. Registration, which includes a Muskie Football T-Shirt, begins at 8:30 a.m. at McConagha Stadium on the campus of Muskingum in New Concord. Camp will conclude at approximately 12 noon in the Muskie football locker room with a certificate of participation given to all. Please wear molded cleats, plastic cleats or tennis shoes. MRC to Host Indoor/ Outdoor Triathlon
The Muskingum Recreation Center (MRC) will be hosting the third annual Indoor/ Outdoor Triathlon at the rec center Saturday April 29. The first wave will begin at 9:30 a.m. Participants will be swimming 10 minutes in the lap pool, cycling 30 minutes in the cycle room, and running a 5K outdoors. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in the various age brackets. The entry fee is $45 for a MRC member and $55 for a non-member. Registration opens Wednesday January 25 and runs until April 21.
