Lots of activities planned at Fresno Presbyterian Church

FRESNO -- The Fresno Presbyterian Church, 54169 White Eyes Township Road 172 or Main Street, Fresno, will be hosting outdoor worship services through Aug. 26 at 11 a.m.

The Royalaires from Circleville have been invited back to present a concert in southern gospel music at the Homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. A picnic lunch will follow.

According to the Rev. Peter Mathewson, pastor, a great summer of music and worship is planned. The services will take place inside in case of bad weather.

The public is invited to any and all of the services.

Pine Ridge Boys in concert

STONE CREEK -- A Southern Gospel concert with the Pine Ridge Boys will be Friday, Aug. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Community Church.

The church is located at 229 W. Jefferson St. in Stone Creek. The concert is free but a love offering will be taken.

Church to have chicken barbecue

PLAINFIELD -- The Plainfield United Methodist Church will have its annual chicken barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Serving begins at 5 p.m.

The menu includes chicken, homemade potato salad, applesauce, roll, dessert and beverage.

The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children.

The dining hall is air conditioned.

Community dinner set

Calvary, Kings, Everals churches and Journey's End Ministries are inviting the community to its annual chicken dinner on Aug. 16. Serving is from 6 to 7 p.m. at 205 S. River St., Newcomerstown.

The public is encouraged to attend.
