No tree pick up
The Newcomerstown Street Department is not currently picking up Christmas trees that are placed along the curbstrip. Village officials ask residents to not place their trees in that location.
The Newcomerstown track team will be having a spaghetti dinner fundraiser in the Newcomerstown High School cafeteria on Friday, Jan. 25 from 4 to 6:30 p.m., before the varsity home basketball game vs. Ridgewood.
The cost of the meal is $7 for adults or $5 for children under 12.
Dinners are available for carry-out as well.
Tickets can be purchased from any track member, or you can call Coach Don Stevens at the Newcomerstown Middle School at 498-8151.
Join in a retirement reception honoring Pat Cadle, West School principal.
Cadle is retiring at the end of January with over 30 years of service to Newcomerstown Schools.
Stop by and wish him well in his retirement. The reception will be in the West School library on Jan. 31 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
The Newcomerstown track team will be working at Crowtown Pizza in Coshocton as a fundraiser on Jan. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. Crowtown Pizza is located next to Woodbury.
The track team keeps all the tips and gets a percentage of what they make that night.
Scrap the Day Away event
STONE CREEK -- The Stone Creek VFD women's auxilliary will have a Scrap the Day Away scrapbooking event on Saturday, Jan. 19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Grace Community Church in Stone Creek.
Cost for Scrapbooking event is $20 for early registration, or $25 at the door. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks provided.

Adult grief support group
COSHOCTON -- A weekly adult grief support group meets every Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Health Services and Hospice of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th St., Coshocton.

Exhibitors sought for show
COSHOCTON -- Exhibitors are now being accepted for the 2013 Coshocton Home & Lifestyle Show to take place March 9 and March 10. The show benefits Habitat for Humanity of Coshocton County and is in its fourth year.
The successful show annually draws approximately 45 exhibitors and 1,000 visitors. Focusing on all things relating to the home, its contents, and its care, the show will take place at the Coshocton County Career Center. Parking is free and there is no admission charge for attending.

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off
Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
