Yellow Flag Sales set

Firemen's Festival set

STONE CREEK -- The Stone Creek Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Firemen's Festival on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The fun begins at 4 p.m. with car show with registration from 4 to 6 p.m. and awards at 7 p.m.; kiddie tractor pull at 5 p.m.; kid's inflatable fun and games for kids and adults at 6 p.m.

All proceeds benefit the Stone Creek Sirens projects and Stone Creek Fire Department.

Adult grief support group

COSHOCTON -- A weekly adult grief support group meets every other Friday at 11 a.m. in the Health Services and Hospice of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th St., Coshocton. The next meeting is set for July 5.

Christ's Kitchen

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The meal is free but donations are accepted.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country.

Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
