Trunk or Treat set

Trunk or Teat is set for Thursday, Oct. 31 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hartwood Church, Hartwood Road, Newcomerstown.

No tricks here, only trunks full of treats.

Walk the parking lot or stop at each car to take a treat from the trunk.

Everyone is welcome.

Donuts and drinks served in the picnic pavilion.

Library board member

Newcomerstown Public Library is seeking candidates interested in serving as a board member. Anyone interested may stop into the library to fill out form.

Trivia night planned

The next exciting trivia night at Newcomerstown Library will be Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.

Potluck dinner set

A potluck dinner is planned for Nov. 1 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sharon Moravian Church, near Tuscarawas.

The menu will include hamloaf, baked chicken, salads, desserts, etc.

Craft show planned

The Newcomerstown Emergency Rescue Squad, Inc.'s 23rd annual Christmas in the Village Craft Show will be Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the David Barber Civic Center, Newcomerstown.

Many area crafters will be there. Items will include Christmas decorations, sewed items, ornaments, cards, crocheted items and much more. For information, call Karen at 498-8234.

Pork, sauerkraut benefit

BALTIC -- A pork and sauerkraut benefit is planned for Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 5) at Fiat St. Peters UCC. The meal will include pork, sauerkraut, real mashed potatoes, applesauce, hot dogs, Amish bread, cake and pie. The meal will be a free will donation. Christmas Bazaar set

GNADENHUTTEN -- A Christmas Bazaar is set at the Gnadenhuten Moravian Church on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be crafts, baked goods, candy and Moravian merchandise.

Turkey dinner planned

GNADENHUTTEN -- A turkey dinner is set for Nov. 9 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Gnadenhutten Moravian Church. The dinner is dine-in or carry-out. The cost is $10 per meal.

Retirement dinner set

Kurz Kasch will be a retirement dinner on Nov. 13 at 11:30 a.m. at April's Country Kitch'n in Newcomerstown.

Craft show planned

Newcomerstown Senior Center's first ever Fall Gala Craft Show will be Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center, 222 S. Bridge St., Newcomerstown.

The center will sponsor a bake sale and lunch stand.

Blood drive set

GNADENHUTTEN -- Indian Valley FFA will be having its blood drive on Nov. 20 at the high school. Those donating must be 16 years old and it is open to the community.

FFA is also selling fruit, nuts, etc. until Nov. 12.

A Cardboard City to promote what its like to be without things that we have will be Nov. 15-Nov. 16 at Tractor Supply in New Philadelphia.

Adult grief support group

COSHOCTON -- A weekly adult grief support group meets every other Friday at 11 a.m. in the Health Services and Hospice of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th St., Coshocton. The next meeting is set for July 5.

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The meal is free but donations are accepted.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
