Church to have cookie, candy sale
ISLETA -- Isleta United Methodist Church will have its eighth annual Christmas Cookie and Candy sale in the church basement on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon.
There will be hundreds of delicious holiday cookies and candies to choose from, and you can make up your own assortment of favorites. Price is $6 per pound.
The church is located at 58608 County Road 9, Newcomerstown.
Choir to perform
COSHOCTON -- The Coshocton Community Choir will be performing "The Christmas Rose" on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the McKinley Auditorium, Coshocton High School.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students/children.
They may be purchased online at www.coshoctoncommunitychoir.org; or stop by Baker's Foods, Home Savings and Loan Bank in West Lafayette, Liberty House in Roscoe Village, Buehler's, Marilyn's Natural Foods and the Good News Book Store.
Adult grief support group
COSHOCTON -- A weekly adult grief support group meets every other Friday at 11 a.m. in the Health Services and Hospice of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th St., Coshocton. The next meeting is set for July 5.

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
The meal is free but donations are accepted.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off
Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
