The Newcomerstown High School Class of 1966 will be meeting for lunch at noon on Thursday Sept. 28 at The Warehouse Restaurant in Roscoe Village.
First Baptist Church in West Lafayette will have a revival October 15-18, featuring Kenny Evans, who will be singing and speaking Sunday morning and evening, and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. Wednesday night will be a special spaghetti dinner/concert starting at 6 p.m. Evans will be performing his Golden Oldies/Gospel Show that he does at Pigeon Forge, Tenn. The semi-annual flushing of hydrants will begin on Sept. 17 at 10 p.m. north of the railroad tracks and west of Bridge Street. When completed, it will proceed east of Bridge Street north of the railroad track, then south of the railroad tracks west of Bridge Street and, finally, south of the railroad tracks east of Bridge Street. Residents who discover their water is discolored should allow it to run for a short period, said Tom Sauerbrey, utilities superintendent. It is safe to drink, he said.
