Workers from Columbia Gas work to shut off the main gas line on Canal Street, Newcomerstown, last Thursday. The line ruptured near Dick's Place and caused the area to be evacuated. A temporary shelter was set-up at the David Barber Civic Center in Newcomerstown. The American Red Cross was also contacted.
