A Blue Star Banner was presented to Debra and Richard Hursey of Newcomerstown in honor of their son, Staff Sgt. Brock Hursey, who is serving in the United States Air Force. Staff Sgt. Hursey is a 1999 graduate of Newcomrestown High School and entered the Air Force in 2003. He is a civil engineer and has served in Germany, Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Washington D.C., and is currently stationed at Spangdahlem AFB in Germany. He is the grandson of Richard and Mary Alice Hursey, and the late Virginia and John Wilson, all of Newcomerstown. Pictured are Debra, Staff Sgt. Hursey, Richard Hursey and Larry Asbury of the American Legion.
