Over 1,230 students recently earned degrees from the University of Akron. Included in that number are four locals; Allexis Filby of Newcomerstown, Bachelor of Music in Music Education-Instrumental Band; Zachary Snader of Newcomerstown, Bachelor of Science in Political Science - CJ Track 2; Kayla Cowden of Coshocton, Bachelor of Arts in Child Development; and Derek Wright of Coshocton, Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering Tech.
