The Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce, along with the Newcomerstown Historical Society, is inviting the public to the final Community Christmas Celebration that will take place in the parking lot between the Temperance Tavern Museum and the Olde Main Street Museum and Social Center.
The final celebration will be Saturday, Dec. 20. There will be museum tours in all three museums, including the USS Radford National Naval Museum, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Caroling and candlelighting around the community Christmas tree will start at 6 p.m.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Santa will be present to hand out candy canes. Everyone is welcome to take a picture of their children with Santa.
There is also a North Pole mailbox there for the children's letters to Santa. All letters need to be in the box by 5 p.m. each day and be sure the child's return address is on the letter so Santa can answer it.
On Dec. 20, members of the First Baptist Church Choir will be singing and leading the caroling.
The alley between the museums and the Presbyterian Church will be closed both days from 4 to 9 p.m. Parking is available behind the Temperance Tavern Museum and at the First Baptist Church parking lot.
They hope all will find time to come out and help them celebrate the Christmas season.
