The children's Easter Egg Hunt in Newcomerstown will be Saturday, April 4 starting promptly at 10 a.m. at Cy Young Park. The event is sponsored by the Newcomerstown Elks Lodge and the Church of the Nazarene.
The rain date is set for Saturday, April 11.
Port Washington Easter Egg Hunt
PORT WASHINGTON -- Tri-County Auxiliary will sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m. at Belden Park, Bremer Street, Port Washington.
The hunt is for children ages toddler through age 10 and there will be three age divisions. A special lucky egg will be placed in each division and the finder will receive a prize.
WEST LAFAYETTE -- Lafayette Pointe will be having its annual Easter Extravaganza on Saturday, April 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. All activities are free of charge and include an egg hunt, face painting and an activity station. Hot dog, chips and a beverage will also be provided at no cost. Bring your basket and join the fun.
Lafayette Pointe is located at 620 E. Main St., West Lafayette.
GNADENHUTTEN -- There will be a steak fry at the Port Washington Masonic Lodge in Gnadenhutten on April 4 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Dinner includes either a strip steak for $12 or ground round for $8, baked potato, beverage and the salad and dessert bar.
The Newcomerstown West School PTO will have a rummage sale on Saturday, April 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seven-foot tables are $20 or two tables are $30. Bring your own table for $10. Electric is available upon request. Doors open at 7 a.m. for set-up.

PORT WASHINGTON -- The Salem Township trustees will meet in regular session on Saturday, April 4 at 9:30 a.m. in the Township Hall, Port Washington.
Country music returns
KIMBOLTON -- With the arrival of spring comes the return of country music to Kimbolton. The first session will be Sunday, April 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kimbolton Community Center. Mabel Pollock will start the program at noon followed by Rod Bradford and Friends at 1 p.m. The Foraker Band will entertain from 2 to 3 p.m., and then Jesse, Elaine and Charlie will take the stage. Baked steak and chicken dinners, sandwiches and desserts will be available at noon. This event is open to the public with no admission charge.
WEST LAFAYETTE -- The West Lafayette United Methodist Church will have a spaghetti supper on Friday, April 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church at the corner of Oak Street and Russell Avenue. Advance ticket sales only! Carry-out will be available. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 4 to 11, and free for toddlers (ages 3 and under).

Fund-raising at JEM
Journey's End Ministries is participating in the annual national Feinstein Challenge which encourages fund raising for food pantry programs. All contributions from March1 through April 30 will receive matching donation from the $1,000,000 fund designated to be distributed. Contributions can be brought or sent to Journey's End Ministries, 205 S. River St., Newcomerstown.
Spaghetti dinner set
Calvary United Methodist Church, corner of State Street and Heller Drive, will have a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, April 4 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The cost is $5.50 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 4 to 12, and free for those under 3. The meal includes spaghetti with homemade sauce, meatballs, salad, applesauce, bread and butter, drinks and many different homemade desserts.
The church is handicap accessible and the spaghetti dinner is open to the public.
Easter cookie and candy sale
There will be an Easter cookie and candy sale on Saturday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown.
The cost is $5 per pound and patrons can select their own items. Also, there will be frozen sticky buns for sale at a cost of $6 for a pan of eight.
HeBrews CoffeHouse will also be open.
The sale is sponsored by River Ringers, Cuba Mission Team and Chancel Choir.
Pancake breakfast set
NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Schoenbrunn Community Moravian Church will have a pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday, April 4 from 8 a.m. to noon at the church, 2200 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, applesauce, juice, coffee and milk. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under age 10. Children under 2 are free.
Rotary's spring blood screening

PORT WASHINGTON -- The Salem Township trustees will meet in regular session on Saturday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m. in the Township Hall, Port Washington.
Chicken dinner set
The Newcomerstown Historical Society will be having a chicken dinner on Saturday, April 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Olde Main Street Museum and Social Center, 213 W. Canal St., Newcomerstown.
The dinner includes a half chicken, two sides, roll, drink and dessert for $7. Dine-in or carry-out orders available.

The Newcomerstown High School hallways are available for anyone interested in walking in the mornings from 5 to 7 a.m. The Beaver Street doors will be unlocked at 5 a.m.
East School seeks volunteers
The Newcomerstown East Elementary School is looking for volunteers from the community to come in and help with teachers and students. Volunteers would be helping with AR tests, clerical items, etc. Call 498-6601 or stop by the East School office for more information.
Sonshine Boxes drop-off
Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newcomerstown is a collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
