Longaberger basket fundraiser to benefit Nc'town library

The Back on Track Fundraising Committee has teamed up with Longaberger Consultant Annette Parks to sell Longaberger products to help the effort to get the Newcomerstown library "back on track" after devastating cuts in library funding in July.

Parks is a member of the Back on Track Fundraising Committee and has pledged to donate her commission to match donations made by the Longaberger Company's donation on items featured in the company's fundraising brochure. As a result, the library will receive 40 percent of the sales on baskets sold through the special fundraising promotion.

"I love our library and want to help keep it open," said Parks, an avid reader and library supporter.

She is also donating her commission on any product she sells that is not part of the fundraising package offered by Longaberger, including the new NFL basket series and the popular Ohio State Buckeye Basket. Parks plans to donate her entire commission on sales until the fundraising committee meets its goal of paying off the library's USDA loan.

The deadline to place orders from the fundraising brochure will be Nov. 30 so orders can be received before Christmas.

Baskets are currently on display at the Newcomerstown library and anyone can stop by the library for a copy of the fundraising brochure.

Members of the Back on Track Committee also have brochures available.
