Prom Showcase this Presidents' DayDOVER -- Prom season is quickly approaching. Visit the sixth annual Prom Showcase to learn some great ways to have a beautiful, fun prom without spending a fortune. Prom Showcase and Dress Resale, sponsored by Safe Kids Tuscarawas, is set for Feb. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. Start gathering your gently used prom dresses for the Prom Dress Resale or come and find the perfect dress for your prom. Bring cash to purchase dresses (or some may accept a check), but no credit or debit cards. Drop dresses off at the Dover Alliance Church, 228 E. Third St., Dover, on Friday, Feb. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. or Saturday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a $5 flat fee (cash only) regardless of the number of dresses, for dresses to be included in the sale. An additional day for the dress resale will be Feb. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. Unsold dresses or money from sold dresses need to be picked up from 7 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 22 at the church. Lavender Bridal and Roberts will have some of the latest prom fashions to show. The Bistro will be sharing a dining experience with class. The Floral Chalet will be showing the latest trends in prom flowers.
