Steak fry set

GNADENHUTTEN A steak fry is set for Friday, Nov. 4 at the Port Washington Masonic Lodge in Gnadenhutten from 4 to 7 p.m.

The menu will include a 10 ounce strip steak for $12 or a chop steak for $8. Both meals include salad and dessert bar, baked potato and beverage.

Holiday bazaar set

A holiday bazaar is set for Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the West Union Church, 13679 Gilmore Road, Gilmore.

There will be craft items, bake sale and a food stand.

Christmas Wonderland on Olde Main Street

A Christmas Wonderland on Olde Main Street is being planned for Friday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Dec. 4 in the Olde Main Street Museum and Social Center, Newcomerstown.

The event will feature approximately 50 decorated trees, wreathes, wooden items, etc. to be bid on (through a silent auction) and will have a buy me now price with all proceeds to benefit the museum, toys for local veterans children, and the Toys for Local Tots program. There will be an opening night reception on Friday, Nov. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. with light refreshments; admission is $3 on the opening night.

Admission throughout the week is $2 per person. Decorated items are donated from area businesses, individuals and organizations.

Craft show set

The 21st annual Christmas in the Village Craft Show is set for Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the David Barber Civic Center, 1066 E. State St., Newcomerstown.

A large variety of items to choose from including, birdhouses, diaper cakes, hand made jewelry, watches, aprons, Christmas items, baby blankets, crocheted items, knitted items, angels, floral, embroidery, wood, baked items, hair bows, candles, waxed bears, sun catchers, ornaments and many more.

A lunch stand will be provided by NERS Inc.

Round and square dance

STONE CREEK A round and square dance is set for Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Tunnel Hill Community Center, Stone Creek. The cost of admission is $5.

Fall story times set

Children ages 3-5 are welcome to attend fall story time at the Newcomerstown Public Library and explore themes relating to the autumn season. Story times for fall extend to Nov. 28 and will be held each Monday at 10:30 a.m. on the second floor of the library, located at 123 E. Main St., Newcomerstown.

Each event lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes short stories, finger plays, rhymes, songs, crafts and more.

Registration is not required and participation is free.

Toys for Tots donations sought

Donations are currently being sought for the Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerces annual civic project, Toys for Local Tots. The program supplies toys, gifts and possibly clothing items to children in the Newcomerstown Exempted Village School District.

Quilt show set

The Newcomerstown Quilt Bees will be having a quilt show Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church.

All proceeds will help support the Newcomerstown Public Library.

Share-A-Christmas toy drive set

GNADENHUTTEN The Share-A-Christmas toy drive, sponsored by WJER radio and Indian Valley FFA, is set for Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Gifts should be un-wrapped. Gifts for all ages of children, both boys and girls, are welcome. For information, call 330-3434-6012.

Projects sought for community service

COPS (Community Outreach Project) is hoping to help Newcomerstown area residents with home repair and maintenance.

Unfortunately, they are not able to do lawn care on a regular basis, but they are looking to help people make minor home repairs in their homes.

They are willing to do inside repairs during the winter months.

Christs Kitchen

Christs Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The meal is free but donations are accepted.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pells Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
