The Ohio Star Theater at 1357 Old Route 39 will celebrate its second season with an anniversary open house from 2 to 8 p.m. on May 11.
A special — two tickets for the cost of one ($42 savings) — will be available only at the theater and only during the open house.
During the open house, every 30 minutes between 4 and 7 p.m. the cast of "The Home Game" will perform for 10 minutes. The musical centers on the story of Levi Troyer, a talented Amish baseball player with dreams of playing in the major leagues.
"The Home Game" plays through June 29, followed by the musical, "Half-Stitched" from July 11 through Aug. 29, and a new musical, "Stolen" from Sept. 11 through Nov. 10.
The season will end with another new musical, "Christmas in Paradise," playing Nov. 17 through Dec. 29.
Ohio Star Theater opened on April 1, 2017. In addition to the four musicals, the Theater will hosting a variety of comedy and musical events and concerts in 2018 including Mark Lowry, the Annie Moses Band, Phil Keaggy, Laura Story, Sandi Patty, Point of Grace and more.
