King awarded scholarship

COSHOCTON -- Spc. Zachary King, son of Terry and Vanessa King of Coshocton, has been awarded the Green to Gold Scholarship from the Army.

The River View High School graduate served 15 months in Iraq in the medical division and has now returned to Fort Lewis, Wash. King will return to The Ohio State University in August to complete his education in medicine.

The Army ROTC scholarship was awarded to King based on his records in academic studies, extracurricular activities, athletic activities and leadership potential.

He has three siblings, Clinton of New York; Nathan, who also served in Iraq; and Chelcie, a student at River View. His grandparents are Harry and Ginny King of Newcomerstown and Allen and Shirley Farley of Coshocton.
