COLUMBUS -- Jansen Lenzo, of Newcomerstown and a junior at The Ohio State University in Columbus, was named to the 2012 autumn semester College of Engineering Dean's List. He earned a 3.769-grade point average on 12 or more credit hours during the semester.

He is majoring in welding engineering, and the son of Charles and Gale Lenzo of Newcomerstown.

Jansen was also initiated into the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society at The Ohio State University on May 5, 2012.

During the school year, Jansen and a team of engineers have been designing and building a moon buggy.

They will be traveling to the NASA Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., in April in order to compete with other engineers in the nation.

They will be required to navigate through a simulated lunar terrain.
