NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Buckeye Career Center in New Philadelphia has announced its Students of the Month for September and October.

Alan Hayhurst, a senior in the Natural Resources program, is Buckeye Career Center's September Student of the Month.

According to Kendra Yoder, his math instructor, "Alan is a helpful, kind, hilarious, intelligent and caring person. He's hardworking and just an all-around awesome kid!"

He has wrestled for seven years through middle school and high school at Newcomerstown. He is employed at Little & Sons Tree Service and Little's Power Wash Company.

In his spare time, he also mows yards and hopes to get into the DJ business on the weekends. Upon graduation, he hopes to take over the tree service business.

He is the son of Stacie and Blaine Little of Newcomerstown.

Tara Warner, a senior in the Exercise Science and Sports Medicine program, is Buckeye Career Center's October Student of the Month.

According to Kendra Yoder, her math instructor, "Tara is a wonderful, caring, and determined young lady her personality is fun-loving, considerate, and helpful toward others."

In her spare time, she mows lawns and babysits.

At Buckeye, she is involved in Leadership Council. At her home school, Indian Valley, she is in Pep Club and National Honor Society.

Upon graduation, she plans to attend Ohio University, through the ROTC program, and major in physical therapy.

She is the daughter of Cindy and Joe Warner of New Philadelphia.
