Does God hear every person's prayer? First I want to mention a sign I noticed in town, "knowing the Bible is one thing, knowing the author is another," my question is "how can we know the author without reading and knowing His Word?" It is impossible! And that is why this column is put in the paper, hoping you will read your Bible and find out what the author, the Almighty God, creator of everything expects of us so we can hope to live with Him and His son forever.

The devil is very clever and is behind every lie and false teaching which he hopes you will believe. The Bible has the truth in it, no other book is inspired by God, read II Timothy 3:16. God is all knowing of the thoughts and intents of the heart of every person who has ever lived and all will give an account someday to God, Hebrews 4:12, 13.

So does God hear every prayer? Yes! Does He answer every prayer? No! John 9:31 says He does not listen to sinners. We are all sinners until we become His child. Not everybody has the right to pray to God, only the righteous, Proverbs 15:29.

In the Old Testament, the Israelites were God's chosen people, a baby born was a child of God at birth. All other people were considered heathen. Today it is a person's choice to become a child of God or not, no matter who we are or where we come from, God wants us to become His child, a Christian. Does He tell us how to do this? Can we be sure?
