TOPS regrouping

TOPS in Newcomerstown is re-grouping. They will meet Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown for weigh-in.

Chili and oyster soup supper

The Newcomerstown Masonic Center will have an all-you-care-to-eat chili and oyster soup supper on Friday, Jan. 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. The center is located at 235 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown.

The menu includes oyster stew or chili, salad, dessert and beverage.

The cost for oyster stew is $7.50 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and free for preschoolers.

The cost for the chili supper is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and free for preschoolers.

Everyone is welcome.

Coin club meeting set

NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Tuscarawas County Coin Club will meet Monday, Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall, New Philadelphia. The public is invited to attend.

Newcomerstown Library Board will have an organizational meeting Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Library Annex.

The regular monthly meeting will follow.

Adult grief support group

COSHOCTON -- A weekly adult grief support group meets every Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Health Services and Hospice of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th St., Coshocton.

Christ's Kitchen

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The meal is free but donations are accepted.

The church is located at 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
