GNADENHUTTEN -- In the month of December, members of the Indian Valley FFA Chapter started the annual toy drive.

Dec. 5 was the first collection day at WJER radio station. Nine members unloaded cars full of toys and collected cash donations. At the end of the 12-hour day, the members collected $3,582 and 14 pick-up trucks full of toys. While these members were collecting, 15 other members were sorting the toys at a nearby building.

Dec. 10, 11 and 12, members spent a couple of hours each night afterschool, sorting and counting toys. Then on Dec. 18, 19 and 20, Indian Valley students and FFA members helped distribute the toys to local families. Thanks to the many volunteers, Indian Valley FFA alumni members and community supporters for helping with the 2012 Share-A-Christmas.
