Six members of the Quilting Bees attended the James Stitching Sisters 13th annual Quilting day on Saturday, April 1 in Columbus. The club took 155 quilts made by their group throughout the year. Combined with those from other groups attending over 2,000 quilts were turned in. Then they spent the day with nearly 200 women sewing more quilts. Those attending were Gladys Hinds, Ruth Opphile, Georgia Summit, Marlene Ross, Jane Grimm, and Sandy Henry. The quilts are given to oncology patients when they begin treatment.
