Studio 3 students dance away with wins

Students from the Studio 3 dance studio attended the Showstopper Dance Competition in Sandusky earlier this year and came away with several awards.

Awards are presented on the following levels: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Double Platinum.

The baton trio of Aliyah Beitzel, Marlie Moner and Emily Woodworth received a Platinum Award, missing a Double Platinum by two points. The trio placed second out of 23 groups.

The tap group of Aliyah Beitzel, Caitlin Green, Marlie Moner and Emily Woodworth received a Gold Award, missing a Platinum Award by .8 points.

Caitlin Green performed a baton solo and received a Gold Award, missing a Platinum Award by .6 points.

Crimzen Christmas performed a tap solo and received a Gold Award, missing a Platinum Award by 1.5 points.

A hip hop group of Mia Cadle, Crimzen Christmas, Caitlin Green and Brianna Walkup received a Gold Award, missing a Platinum Award by one point.

Ana Gano and Rylee Johnson performed a tap duet and received a Gold Award, missing a Platinum Award by 1.2 points.

That same duo performed a baton duet, receiving a Gold Award and missing a Platinum Award by 1.4 points.

Studio 3 teachers attending the competition were Mary Lynn Berkshire and Catherine Kirk.
