Southeastern Med received the "Outstanding Patient Experience Award" from Healthgrades, placing the Guernsey County hospital in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide. Southeastern Med is the only hospital in Southeastern Ohio to earn the award this year.

The award, based on Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems patient survey feedback, recognizes hospitals for performance across 10 measurements related to doctor and nurse communication, hospital cleanliness and noise levels, and medication and post-discharge care instructions.

Southeastern Med ranks at least 5% higher than the national average in every category and 76% of survey respondents gave the hospital an overall rating of 9 or 10. One area where Southeastern Med rates particularly high 12% above the national average is in speed of care.

"We've been working diligently to improve our patient experience, and we're thrilled to see that our hospital is ranked above the national average in every single category. This patient feedback tells us that we're on the right track to making Southeastern Med a trusted destination for care in our community," said Ray Chorey, President and CEO at Southeastern Med.

Since opening its doors in 1952, Southeastern Med's goal has been to provide accessible, affordable, high-quality health care services close to home. Today, they're continuing to expand services in the areas of vascular health, cancer treatment, orthopedic services and more to help you get back to life.
