The Summer Reading Festival at the Newcomerstown Public Library was attended with over 200 persons taking part. The festival included horses, reptiles, a green screen photo exhibit and popcorn machine. The event consisted of all volunteers, and was at no charge to the public. Summer reading program will take place at the library every Tuesday, 1-2 p.m., until Aug. 1 and there is no charge for the event. Assisting volunteers with the festival were Hannah Addy, Lauren Burris (library staff), Youth Librarian Wanda Gray and Library Director Cody Addy. Daniel Leakey had several rare reptiles on exhibit for the crowd to see and learn about.
