Walk With A Doc

The next Union Hospital Community Health and Wellness "Walk With A Doc" is scheduled next Wednesday, July 5, at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds during the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market.


Week of Monday, July 3rd through Saturday, July 8th, 2017. Spraying may occur in Port Washington. Spraying will begin around 8:00 PM. Updates may follow identifying specific areas and times. In case of rain, high winds or cold temperatures spraying will be postponed. Persons with respiratory problems should take appropriate actions. If further information is needed, please call the Tuscarawas County Health Department at 330-343-5550.

Culvert Replacement

Beginning Wednesday, July 5, SR 206 will be closed between US 36 and County Road 99 while ODOT crews work on replacing a culvert. Crews will work from 7:30am to 4:00pm. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the day Friday, July 7. For a detour, motorists can use US 36 to SR 79, to SR 541. Class of 1960

The Class of 1960 will meet at noon on Wednesday July 12th at Allison's Finer Diner located at 11587 Upper Gilchrist Rd, Mt. Vernon, Ohio 43050.

Sports Physicals

Ridgewood Highschool will give sports physicals for grades 7-12 Athletes on Saturday July 8th From 9:00am to 1:00pm at no charge to the athletes. Physicals performed by Advanced Spinal Care. Physical packets are available at the superintendents office.

Beer-food event

COSHOCTON -- The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum in Coshocton will host a beer-food pairing dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. July 8 in the Montgomery Gallery where the Breweriana exhibit is on display. The dinner is comprised of five courses prepared by Chef Mike Cichon. Brew master Kevin Ely will select five beers for the pairings plus an additional beer just for fun. For each pairing, Chef Mike and Brew master Kevin will help identify the tastes experienced in the food and beer. Tickets are $38 apiece or $35 for Friends of the Museum. Paid reservations must be received by July 2 and may be made by phone or in person. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum at 300 N. Kurz-Kasch Retirees

The Kurz-Kasch Retirees will meet Wednesday, July 12, at 11:30 a.m. at April's Kountry Kitchen.

Salt Fork Festival

Artists and craftsmen will be the featured attractions at the 48th Salt Fork Arts & Crafts Festival. A variety of artistic creations will be on hand from oil and watercolor paintings to jewelry and woodcarvings. Visitors are sure to find an artistic touch to enjoy as they stroll through the Cambridge City Park on Aug. 11, 12 and 13. When wanting to take a break, head to the Performing Arts Tent or the Big Park Pavilion for a wide variety of musical entertainment. On Saturday, two new events will take place -- a classic car show and tethered balloon rides.
