One day ... Two benefits for late Sandy Robinson

A pair of benefits forSandy Robinson, who passed away recently, have been scheduled for July 15 at Lakeside Park in Coshocton and Cy Young Lanes in Newcomerstown.

Robinson was battling stage 4 breast cancer.

A "Sluggin' It for Sandy" coed, double-elimination softball tournament is planned at Lakeside Park. The entry fee is $120 per team and teams will pay $5 to the ump each game they play. Participants can hit their own 52/300 with five home runs and then its outs.

First and second place trophies will be awarded.

There will be a concession stand with raffle items and a 50/50 on site.

A chicken dinner fund-raiser is planned at Cy Young Lanes from 4 to 7 p.m. at a cost of $10 apiece. The price includes a chicken half with two sides.

The chickens are being prepared by Brice Miller and carryout is available.

Presale tickets for chicken dinners are available at the bowling alley or from Sandy's family members.

A corn hole tournament will begin at 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

A lottery tree raffle and silent auction are also scheduled at the bowling alley.
