NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio has hired two new employees.

Amy Gabriel is the Enrollment & Match Specialist for the local organization. She will conduct all enrollments for children and adult volunteers in our five county service area which includes Tuscarawas, Carroll, Harrison, Holmes and Wayne counties. Prior to her employment at BBBS, Gabriel worked in the chemical dependency field and domestic violence programs in Canton. She has multiple years of experience working with families which made her the ideal candidate for this position. Gabriel is a resident of Dover, where she resides with her husband and three children. She was a stay-at-home mom for several years before she became Big Brothers Big Sisters new Enrollment & Match Specialist. She can be reached at agabriel@bbbseco.com.

Debra Handrich is the Vice President of Fund Development for the organization. She is responsible for all special event management and implementation, building new partnerships with corporations in the five county service area, and conduct presentations to spread program awareness in an attempt to recruit more adult volunteers. Prior to her employment with BBBS, Handrich was the Texas Roadhouse store marketer for four years and a part of the management staff for more than eight years. Her years in the marketing field and her desire to give back to the community make her a good fit for BBBS. Handrich is a lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County and currently resides outside of Dover with her husband, Wil, and three children.
