Recycling is continuing in the village despite rumors that it has ended. However, curbside pick-up has stopped.

Four dumpsters will be placed at the Newcomerstown Street Department garage for residents to place their paper, glass, plastic, cardboard, etc. after the first of the year.

"I'm hoping more people will take advantage of it now because its more convenient," Mayor Steve Guy said.

Before, residents would wait a month before their recyclables were picked up. Now, they can drop them off at any time.
