Coshocton BPW celebrate with holiday partyCOSHOCTON -- The Coshocton Business and Professional Women (BPW) had their meeting and Christmas Party at the home of Treasurer Pat Talbot, Dec. 15. Members brought canned food for the Salvation Army Food Pantry, and items and cash donations for First Step Family Violence in lieu of a gift exchange.Following a covered dish, Jan Shannon, Nancy Conrad and Linda Brenly, Women of Witness Jail Ministry Team, handed out various percussion instruments so members could play and sing along to Christmas songs. President Roma Vance presented the team with a donation to the Jail Ministry fund-raiser which will be used to buy Christmas gifts for children of incarcerated women. She also reminded members of the State Conference at Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark the end of May. Liz Herrell reminded members that Lilly Ledbetter will be a speaker at the Public Policy Meeting in February for Lobby Day. Members will be carpooling to these activities. The next meeting will be Jan. 26 at 6 p.m., location to be announced. The Individual Development and Young Careerist competitions will be held. Competitors for the Young Careerist competition must be between 21 and 35 years of age, and have been employed in their career field for at least one year.
