Public hearing proposed for county's social services fundNEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Tuscarawas County Job & Family Services, the Community Mental Healthcare Alcohol and Drug Services Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll counties, and the Tuscarawas County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities will be having a public hearing on the proposed use of Title XX Social Services funds for the two-year period of July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2011. This hearing will take place in the Tuscarawas County Commissioners' Conference Room, 125 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 9:30 a.m.Each of the three service agencies will present its two-year plan for Title XX services. A comment and recommendation period will follow the presentations. Report of the public hearing to include comments and recommendations, will be submitted to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Public Agencies, private citizens and consumers are encouraged to attend this public hearing.Additionally, a 45-day public comment period of the proposed use of Title XX Social Services funds for the two-year period of July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2011, will begin June. 1, 2009, through Feb. 14, 2009.
