Students receive degrees from OSU

COLUMBUS -- Two area students received degrees during The Ohio State University's autumn quarter commencement Dec. 14 at the Jerome Schottenstein Center, Columbus.

Jennifer Marie Uher of Fresno received a master of arts degree, and Kara Amber Patterson of West Lafayette received a bachelor of science degree.

A total of 2,070 students received their degrees this quarter.

OSU posts autumn honor roll

COLUMBUS -- The Ohio State University has issued its honor roll for the autumn quarter, listing the names of graduating and undergraduate students who achieved high academic averages for their quarter's work. Those honored received a grade point average of at least 3.5 (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, etc.) and were enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. An asterisk after a name indicates a 4.0 academic performance for the quarter.

Locally, the students include:

Fresno -- Haley Michelle Deibel, Courtney Michelle Deibel, Kurt Stalder Ellis, Tracey M. Miser;

Gnadenhutten -- Bailey Elizabeth Stocker, Quinn Tierney Stocker;

Kimbolton -- Wesley Michael D. Yniguez*;

Newcomerstown -- Nicholas Zane Conley, Jarhett Andrew Groff, Lashante D. Harris, Ashley Jean Pugh;

Port Washington -- Kyle Adam Huston*;

Stone Creek -- Casey William Abel, Sara Christine Boone, Maria Lynn Grimm; and

West Lafayette -- Martha Brianne Hardesty*, Stephen D. Shurtz.

A total of 13,113 students were named to the honor roll this quarter.
