NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Tuscarawas County Photographers Association recently had an open to the public photography contest.

There were over 122 entries for the show. Competitions was fierce.

The judging has been completed and the winners announced. The photos are on display at the Tuscarawas Center for the Arts until Jan. 31.

On Jan. 31, there will be a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. (open to the public). Awards and prizes will be handed out and the public will be able to vote for the People's Choice Award.

Animals -- Fred Dudley, first; Glenn Tharp, second; Dora Paris, third;

People -- Jobina Krebs, first; Dora Paris, second; Lonnie Kimble, third;

Scenery -- Levi Keim, first; Seena Gier, second; Christy McMillan, third;

Open -- Levi Keim, first; Cydney McMillan, second; Larry Karoll, third;

Action -- Charles Graham, first; Larry Karoll, second; Lonnie Kimble, third;

Creative -- Charles Graham, first; Levi Keim, second; Jamie Kinsey, third;

Black and white -- Lonnie Kimble, first; Glenn Tharp, second; Barry Scholles, third;

Flower -- Charles Graham, first; Charles Graham, second; Jamie Kinsey; third.

Best of Show went to Charles Graham. Barry Scholles received two honorable mentions and Fred Hoyt received one honorable mention.

The Tuscarawas County Amateur Photo Association (TCAPA) meets every third Monday at the Geib Funeral Home Family Center at 6:30 p.m.
