Bowl For Kids Sake event this Saturday
Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio will be having their first ever Bowl For Kids Sake event this Saturday, March 14 from noon to 2 p.m. at Cy Young Lanes, Newcomerstown.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is committed to serving the children in our communities by providing them with an adult or student mentor to help guide and enrich their lives. The programs have proven results that help our kids to succeed academically, emotionally and socially with the help of their mentor.
Bowl For Kids Sake is the largest fund-raiser of the year for the organization. It spans throughout the county to raise funds that serve Tuscarawas County children and families. The financial goal for the 2009 Bowl For Kids' Sake Campaign is $125,000. For some, becoming a volunteer is not an option everyone can fit into their lives. With our Bowl For Kids Sake campaign anyone can participate in a worthwhile cause and have a great time while building community relationships. Money raised in the community serves the children of the community.
Bowling teams consist of a team captain and four teammates. Each team member has a goal of raising $100 each or $500 per team in pledges. It is as simple as asking 10 friends for $10. All teams are scheduled a lane and bowl two games, receive complimentary pizza and soda, and help the organization at the same time. There are chances to win prizes and incentives for those who raise more than the minimum $100 in pledges.
If you are interested in fun, pizza, bowling and helping a great cause, contact Debra Handrich at Big Brothers Big Sisters at (330) 339-6916 or by e-mail email@example.com.
