Lots of activities taking place at the library
The West Lafayette Branch of Coshocton Public Library has several activities planned for all ages for March, including a celebration for "Teen Tech Week" March 8-14. Teen Tech Week's Plugged and Unplugged is this Friday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Laptops will be available for teens to use for games, social networking and more.
Also planned for teens is a Japanese Kanji writing lesson (Japanese calligraphy) on Thursday, March 19, led by Nate Malenke. A movie, "Ouran High School Host Club: Part 1" will follow. This activity is from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Registration should be made no later than March 18 by calling 545-6672.
Preschool Story Time is held at the West Lafayette Branch on Tuesdays, March 10, 17, 24 and 31. The story times are for children ages 3-5 from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Register by calling 545-6672.
Coffee Chat for Adults will take place at the West Lafayette Branch Wednesday, March 18, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Cyndy Sedlock from the Good News Bookstore will lead a chat on eight best-selling fiction and non-fiction books. Call the library for more information or to register at 545-6672.
Numerous activities have been scheduled for this month at the Coshocton Public Library. Friends of the Library will meet from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11. On Thursday, March 12, the One Book, One Community event will feature "A Thread of Grace" by Mary Doria Russell from 7 to 9 p.m. as a pre-event presentation for Dr. Russell's visit to Coshocton on April 17 at Lake Park Pavilion.
Teens Plugged and Unplugged sessions are March 11, 18 and 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Coshocton library and is held for teens only for playing video or board games, internet access, snacks and fun with friends.
Preschool Story Times are Tuesday from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Coshocton library for ages 3-5. A special Pizza and Pages children's book club for youngsters in fourth, fifth and sixth grades is scheduled for Thursday, March 19 from 4 to 5 p.m. and will feature Gail CarsonLevine's book "Ella Enchanted."
