Book work classes scheduled for student drivers
NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Book work classes are scheduled for the fall/winter semester 2009 by the Tuscarawas-Carroll-Harrison Educational Service Center Driving School.
Locally, the classes will take place at Newcomerstown High School on Nov. 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18 and 19 from 4 to 7:15 p.m.; and Indian Valley High School on Dec. 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16 and 17 from 4 to 7:15 p.m.
Any student that is 15 years and 6 months old by the date of the class and have a valid permit from any local or surrounding high schools may attend any class offered in any school locations. Students should have their permit to attend book work class in order to complete the course in the six month time frame allowed by the state.
The fee for driver education is $290. The driving portion can not be scheduled until after all book work classes are completed and the student has passed. Driving is scheduled by the date paid in full.
