Local groups receive money from Reeves Foundation DOVER -- The Reeves Foundation of Dover disbursed $739,682 in grants to 36 organizations and public entities, including six in the Newcomerstown News coverage area, during 2009.Also, an additional $959,948 in grants has been approved by the foundation's trustees and will be disbursed later.The 2009 local grants include:* Gnadenhutten Historical Society, $17,750, structure maintenance;* Newcomerstown community, $15,440, vehicle equipment;* Gnadenhutten-Clay Township Union Cemetery, $3,479, tractor;* Stone Creek Volunteer Fire Department, $18,700 new roof; * Newcomerstown schools, $57,975, auditorium seats; and* Indian Valley schools, $2,377, band raincoats.The Reeves Foundation was incorporated in 1966 and has been providing grants to organizations and public entities since that time.
