There will be a soup and sandwich benefit Saturday, Jan. 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the David Barber Civic Center, Newcomerstown, for two siblings both fighting cancer.
Glenn Arnold is being treated for prostate cancer. He and his wife, Norma, who works at 31 Incorporated in Newcomerstown, live in Uhrichsville.
His sister, Pat "June" (Arnold) Wilson has been diagnosed with Squamous cell Carcinoma (lung cancer) and has gone through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Pat and her husband, Jerry, reside in Newcomerstown, and have two children, Raymond Moore and Kim Murray. Pat has worked in the area for many years at the Newcomerstown Truck Stop, Thompson's IGA and 31 Incorporated.
Besides soup and sandwiches, there will also be a 50/50 ticket drawing and raffle items.
