NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Get on track financially in 2010 with monthly Money Matters programs. Upcoming programs include, "Budgeting Basics," "Who Gets Grandma's Yellow Pie Plate," and "Preparing for Tax Season."

"Budgeting Basics" will take place at the Newcomerstown Library on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m. This program will cover tried and true methods for tracking spending and developing a personal spending plan.

"Who Gets Grandma's Yellow Pie Plate" will take place at the Bolivar Library on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. During this fun and informative program, guest speaker Kate Shumaker will provide practical tips about the inheritance of personal property.

"Preparing for Tax Season" will take place at the New Philadelphia Library on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m. Feel more at east this tax season with the help of guest speaker Richard Berichon. He will discuss necessary documents and helpful resources for preparing your 2009 taxes.

All Money Matters programs are open to the public and free of charge, but registration is strongly recommended. Contact the Tuscarawas County office of the Ohio State University Extension at (330) 339-2337 by 4 p.m. one day prior to the day of the program.

The Money Matters program is a partnership among OSU Extension Tuscarawas County, the Tuscarawas County Public Library System and the Newcomerstown Library.
