COLUMBUS -- The 2010 SkillsUSA State competitions took place in Columbus at the Ohio State fairgrounds on April 23 and 24.

It was a successful day as three of the 42 Buckeye Career Center competitors placed with medals in their competition.

Tiffany Dennison of Tusky Valley High School, daughter of Robert and Amber Dennison, won a gold medal in the competition of Medical Assisting. She will represent Buckeye Career Center at the annual 2010 SkillsUSA National Competitions June 20 through the 25 in Kansas City, Kan.

Silver medals were awarded to Quinn Hershberger of Garaway High School, son of Ty and Roxie Hershberger, in the competition of Precision Machining and Blair Edwards of Dover High School, son of Benita Burgins in Architectural Drafting.

Buckeye Career Center is proud of all those who participated in the event and would like to wish Tiffany Dennison good luck this summer at the national competition.
