STONE CREEK -- Cherubs of Grace Pre-School is having open registration for 3, 4 and 5 year olds for the 2010-2011 school year.
The pre-school is located at Grace Community Church at 229 W. Jefferson St., Stone Creek. This is a non-profit program ran by Grace Community Church as a mission. Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and hours are 9:15 to 11:45 a.m.
This is a state-licensed program and class size can accommodate up to 22 children with one accredited teacher and aide. The pre-school has been open for 10 years serving children from many school districts in Tuscarawas County.
The curriculum is carefully planned to ensure that children are exposed to many experiences in all areas of development. The teaching staff assesses each child individually to determine their individual needs in working towards kindergarten readiness. Much emphasis is put on the great importance of each child as an individual while celebrating their uniqueness and special qualities. Each child is treated with love, kindness and respect.
During classroom time, it is a goal to provide experiences of great fun, excitement and delight ensuring that children learn quickly and in a most positive way. They explore the world through field trips, hosting guests to the classroom and by bringing nature indoors. They have access to the Stone Creek Park, church lawn and woods. Each child learns kindergarten skills through hands on experiences designed for them. Much focus is put on social development in learning to express feelings, solve problems, respectfulness, friendship and obedience. The children are taught many songs and stories in a language rich environment. The pre-school has the strong support of the church and is a healthy, safe place for children to learn, explore, grow and develop.
