PORT WASHINGTON -- Port Washington Village Council agreed to apply for a Community Development Block Grant for the resurfacing of Glasgow Road to High Street.

Council also agreed to pay 10 percent of the cost which amounts to $5,200.

Council heard that the police department that response to clean up notices was going well.

Street Commissioner Rick Swiger said new the mower was received, but he had to order a mulcher for it.

Council hear the third and final reading of the flood plain rewording ordinance. The vote was unanimous to accept the ordinance.

Council's next meeting will be a joint meeting Salem Township trustees and the cemetery board on Tuesday, June 1 at 7 p.m.
