MATTHEWS, N.C. -- A former resident of Newcomerstown, Susan Ashcraft Gossett published, "A True Superhero," a Christian picture book. She is the daughter of Mark and Sara Ashcraft.

She is currently a preschool teacher in Matthews, N.C. For many years, she enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother, but as a cancer survivor, Gossett wished to give a little back to the great God that blessed her with life and three little miracles. Therefore, she began to write and teamed up with a local artist in North Carolina, Anne Letherby, who is the granddaughter of Opal Boyd of Coshocton.

As a Christian mother, Gossett wanted her children and others to know what being a superhero is really about. She feels it is not about fighting or shooting webs. It is about loving, helping and forgiving as Jesus Christ did and still does today. She believes everyone can be a superhero by following the example of Jesus, "A True Superhero."

"A True Superhero" may be found on Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com, as well as Authorhouse.com. In addition, the book is now on the shelves of the Good News bookstore in Coshocton.
