DENNISON -- HARCATUS Tri-County Summer Cooling Assistance Program, designed to assist income eligible households with a member who is 60 years of age and older or has physician documentation of an illness that is aggravated by extreme heat, is opening July 6 and will close Aug. 31 or earlier if funds are exhausted.
HARCATUS Family Support Centers will be scheduling appointments for assistance beginning June 28. The Summer Cooling Program may assist with one payment on an electric bill, up to $175; a disconnect notice is not required. All offices will provide counseling on payment plan options, even if the applicant does not qualify for a Summer Cooling benefit.
