Board abolishes special education aide position
GNADENHUTTEN -- The Indian Valley Local Board of Education abolished the high school special education aide position due to lack of work when the board met in special session Aug. 2.
The board also transferred Mindy Wagner, special education aide from Midvale Elementary to Indian Valley Middle School. Then, the board approved a resolution for reduction in force as a special education aide at the middle school due to lack of work, effective Aug. 23.
Meanwhile, the board employed Jennifer Bigler as the Midvale Library Media Center manager for the 2010-2011 school year, effective Aug. 23. Her pay will be $13 per hour.
Jonathon Stuck was hired as the middle school band director for the 2010-2011 school year. His salary will be $30,617.
The board also entered into an executive session for confidential matters. No action regarding the session was taken.
The board will meet again in regular session on Monday, Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the library at Indian Valley School.
