The Halloween Fest, sponsored by The Cy Young Days Festival and the Cy Young Youth League, will be Friday, Oct. 29 from 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 30 from 5 to 10 p.m. The activities will take place at the Cy Young Youth League fields off Neighbor Street.

On Fridays, they will have hayrides, The Haunted Trail and The Field of Screams. Prices for each of these events will be $1 for children under 12. Over 12 and adults, the cost will be $2 for each event or all three for $5.

On Saturdays, they will have all of the above plus face painting for $.50, Paint-a-Pumpkin (to take home) for $1 and "Make Your Own" caramel apple for $.75.

Also, you can get your picture taken with a local "Undertaker" for a $1.

On Saturday, Oct. 30, they will also have a Costume Parade for children and adults.

The concession stand will be open with hot dogs, popcorn, coffee, hot chocolate and cider (warm or cold).

The committee is also in need of volunteers, both costumed and non-costume individuals, who would like to help. To volunteer or for information, call Gary or Janet Chaney at 498-4545, or Jeff Neidig at 498-6337.

If heavy rains, the festival is canceled that night.

Bring the family for lots of fun and a few frights. But be prepared, no telling what you might see.
