Christmas raffle to benefit librarySeveral area businesses donated items for a Christmas raffle to benefit Newcomerstown Public Library. Annette Parks, member of the Back On Track Fundraising Committee, organized the raffle. Tickets are on sale at the Newcomerstown Public Library for the items located on the bottom shelf of the display case in the library lobby. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Winners will be drawn at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23.Items are numbered so ticket buyers can write the number of the item they wish to receive on the back of their ticket. Winners will be notified by phone on Dec. 23, if not present at the drawing. The library will be open until 8 p.m. Dec. 23. The Newcomerstown Public Library will be closed Dec. 24-27 and re-open Tuesday, Dec. 28.The Back On Track Committee is continuing fund-raising efforts to assist the library with operating costs through 2011 because the Library will not receive any additional funds from the recently passed levy until 2012.Donated items are as follows: B's Boutique, Rachel Bricker, Coach wristlet; Stampin' up, Sara Shepherd, gift box filled with stamping supplies; Rada Co., Cindy Ramey, candle; Tastefully Simple, Nicole Roth, two Nana Apple Cake Mixes; Baskets, Jewelry and More, Michelle Garretson, Whitewashed Longaberger basket; Scentsy Tricia Buss, Warmer and scents; and Longaberger, Annette Parks, Longaberger basket.
