COLUMBUS -- State Representative Al Landis (R-Dover), surrounded by family and friends, Jan. 3 was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives during the opening ceremony for the 129th General Assembly.

"I'm grateful to be selected by the people of the 96th District to represent them in Columbus," Landis said. "I believe that Ohio will accomplish great things and see positive changes in our future."

Born and raised in Tuscarawas County, Landis recently retired after 33 years of service at Greer Steel Company, located in Dover. He represents the 96th House District, which includes Harrison County, as well as parts of Belmont and Tuscarawas counties.
