Vane S. Scott Jr. of Newcomerstown, who was internationally known for his performance in "The Many Faces of Old Glory," passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9. He was 86.

Scott’s first company, "Great Scott Displays," decorated for a presidential inauguration, Miss America parades and Hollywood movie premieres, among other events. Later, with the Annin Flag Co., he made flags and banners for the Super Bowl, the Olympics and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Ourant Funeral Home in Newcomerstown is handling arrangements.
